Healthy Teeth: Electrify Your Brushing with Sonicare

2nd August 2016

We all know that regular brushing can not only keep your teeth at its best, but also your gums and tongue. But did you know that you can take your brushing to the next level by using an electric toothbrush? An electric toothbrush is very easy and convenient to use, but that’s not all. There are many other benefits.

An electric toothbrush uses a rotating motion which can ensure maximum cleaning of teeth. The conventional toothbrush has a traditional head which can not reach some places inside the mouth and thus, gives a higher chance of cavity formation in places that we cannot see. An example is the back portion of the mouth.

What technology does an electric toothbrush use that can not be found on a conventional toothbrush? For the traditional toothbrush, you need to make sure that you do a rotating action. An electric toothbrush can do that and more! It uses a technology called oscillating-rotating, which is characterised by repetitive variation and thus giving action that can remove built-up plaque and at the same time massaging action which is very good for the gums.

It’s All About the Head and Rotation

Not all toothbrushes are the same, neither so with the electric toothbrush. There are battery operated toothbrushes, and there are also rechargeable ones. Which one works better? Every toothbrush has its own advantages and disadvantages, and today we will focus on the Sonicare Electric Toothbrush.

Sonicare is the dental toothbrush by mega-brand Philips. This electric toothbrush uses a “sonic technology” by using high frequency motion for more dynamic brushing action. Sonicare brushes are also ergonomically designed and comes with illuminated display to indicate when you need to recharge the battery.

What are some of the advantages of using an electric toothbrush? Electric toothbrushes clean better than ordinary toothbrushes. They also require very minimal action on the user’s part, so this is perfect even for old people. Electric toothbrushes can help lessen the likelihood of gingivitis which is further aggravated by vigorous brushing using a traditional toothbrush.

Features to Look For in Sonicare Electric Toothbrush

Many electric toothbrushes are bulky, and the main selling feature of the Sonicare electric toothbrush is its slim and ergonomic design. Its slim design is very elegant to look at, while its slim body is easy to hold. These two features combine comfort and design, making it very attractive to users. With comfort in mind, choose an electric toothbrush with a slim and easy-to-grip handle. These features are of course in the Sonicare electric toothbrushes.

Another feature to look for is the “timer” and an illuminated display. Electric toothbrushes makes it easy to time how long should you brush your teeth. A recommended time is usually around 2 minutes. This time should allow enough time to ensure that gums and teeth are cleaned well.

Oral health is very important, which is why it is best to equip yourself with a very good toothbrush. Electric brushes are now very advance and with its introduction, dental health comes last in your list of worries.
